Meet Your Seller
Hey all, I’m Faheem. I’m a woodworker based in the metro Atlanta area. I began woodworking in 2023 with a simple goal: to create custom picture frames for my own space. What started as a personal project quickly grew into a broader practice, and today my work includes cutting boards, charcuterie boards, boxes, tabletops, and coffee tables. My design philosophy is rooted in material led aesthetics. Rather than forcing a form, I allow the natural grain, live edge, and character of the wood to dictate the final design of any project. To achieve this, I utilize a blend of locally sourced Georgia hardwoods and premium, highly figured slabs from the Pacific Northwest, known for the scale and complexity required for heirloom quality furniture. If you’re interested in custom work or future projects, I’m happy to connect. Follow the process on Instagram: @faheem_woodworks

Made to order Maloof Rocker - the rocker that started it all
This is a made-to-order Maloof-style rocking chair. Each chair is crafted individually from solid hardwood, shaped entirely by hand, and refined until every transition becomes indistinguishable. No templates. No batch production. Every curve is established through carving, grinding, and hand shaping until the chair feels alive and balanced in motion. Depending on the level of sculpting and refinement, each rocker requires between 80 and 150 hours of exhausting nonstop labor to complete. The process is back breaking by design. Subtle transitions are blended until joints disappear, surfaces flow uninterrupted, and the chair reads as a single continuous form. The seat is deeply sculpted to support the body naturally. The spindles are positioned to cradle the lower back without pressure. The chair melts into your body rather than the other way around. The blades are tuned for a smooth, controlled glide. There is no abrupt shift in balance. There is no hitching. The rocker will not wander like many lower end ones you may have sit in. There is a consistent, quiet rhythm that feels stable and effortless like a metronome. The joints that hold the rocker together are not only strong, but they're visually integrated, blended, and softened until they become part of the overall flow of the piece. Each chair is made to order and can be customized in wood species and subtle proportions. Highly figured or rare woods can be sourced upon request for a more expressive, one-of-a-kind statement. Local delivery is available within four hours of Atlanta. For clients outside the area, I can coordinate freight or white glove delivery to ensure the piece arrives exactly as intended. This is not a quick build item; my lead time for a piece like this is three to four months. But it is a long term investment designed to be used daily, age gracefully, and outlive its owner.
