Meet Your Seller
Father of two, Iraq War veteran David Gregory Lollar’s journey is one of resilience, artistry, and transformation. After serving his country in Iraq, David returned home determined to channel his discipline and creativity into woodworking. He began crafting river tables in 2018, quickly establishing himself as a skilled artisan in blending natural wood and epoxy to create functional art. For several years, David worked with Cured Resins, a commercial woodworking company based in Orlando, specializing in live-edge table design and epoxy repairs. At Cured Resins, he refined his craft, building a reputation for turning exotic woods, like Guanacaste Perota, into stunning dining tables that were both timeless and innovative. In 2024, David decided to take a bold step in his career. Fueled by a desire to create more personalized, artistic pieces and reconnect with the roots of his craft, he left the commercial world to move his workshop back home. His new focus is on small-scale, artistic woodworking projects that emphasize storytelling through natural imperfections, live edges, and the interplay of wood and resin. His home shop, a 170-square-foot space, doubles as a creative sanctuary and content studio, where David shares his process and expertise with a growing online community. With plans to make YouTube videos, he hopes to inspire other veterans and woodworking enthusiasts to explore the artistry and therapeutic value of the craft. David’s transition to independent artistry represents a renewed focus on passion over production, allowing him to honor his personal values while delivering unique, handcrafted works of art.

Nakashima Inspired Walnut Side Table
This elegant side table celebrates the natural beauty of black walnut with a design deeply inspired by the organic, sculptural aesthetic of George Nakashima. Crafted from a single, highly figured black walnut slab, the live-edge top showcases dramatic swirling grain patterns and a striking natural void filled with matte black epoxy resin. The rich, warm tones of the walnut range from deep chocolate brown to golden highlights, creating a mesmerizing landscape across the surface. Measuring 30.5 inches long, 11.75 inches wide, and 26 inches tall, the table offers a perfect narrow profile for use beside a sofa, bed, or in an entryway. Its minimalist yet sculptural base features sturdy, walnut legs joined by a halflap stretcher with exposed joinery—a subtle nod to traditional craftsmanship and Nakashima’s reverence for honest wood construction. The finish highlights the depth and chatoyance of the walnut grain while providing durable protection for everyday use. Every curve, knot, and grain line tells the story of the tree, making each piece truly one-of-a-kind. Clean, timeless, and full of character—this table bridges modern minimalism with the warmth and soul of natural wood.
