Built from locally sourced Central Texas Pecan, this board is framed by a high-contrast structural border of Walnut and Maple. I used a full end-grain construction here, which is the professional standard for high-end kitchens. By orienting the wood fibers vertically, the board acts like a dense brush—your knife blade slides between the fibers rather than cutting through them. This "self-healing" action keeps your edges sharp and prevents the deep, permanent scarring common in standard flat-grain boards. To give it a stable, "pro" feel on the counter, I’ve mounted the board on 1" solid brass feet. These elevate the block to allow for 360-degree airflow during drying and provide a rock-solid foundation that won’t budge during heavy prep or carving. The Build The Wood: Locally sourced Central Texas Pecan with an American Walnut and Maple border. The Hardware: 1" solid brass feet—heavy-duty, rust-resistant, and aesthetically striking against the dark Walnut. The Surface: 100% end-grain orientation for maximum blade protection and surface longevity. The Finish: Deep-saturated overnight in a mineral oil bath and hand-buffed with food-safe wax to seal the grain. Dimensions Surface Size: 11.5" x 10.5" Height: 1" Care & Maintenance To preserve the Pecan grain and the brass hardware: Hand wash only with warm water and mild soap. Dry immediately after washing; never leave the board to soak or sit in standing water. Apply a fresh coat of mineral oil or board butter periodically to keep the wood fibers hydrated and the colors rich. Custom Sizes & Wood Mixes If you need a specific footprint to fit your kitchen island or want to discuss a different wood combination for the border, message me for a quote. I can scale this end-grain design to your exact specifications.

Hey y'all, I started this business in high school over Covid because of my excessive free time. I love to innovate on the design process and make furniture that seems impossible at a first glance. I am going to school for mechanical engineering and love to push the limits of whats possible in the furniture realm.
