Clar Walnut Slab Table

Claro walnut dining table, handcrafted from highly figured slabs with dramatic natural grain, color variation, and movement throughout the top. The finished table measures approximately 60" x 72", giving it the presence of a large round/oval dining table while comfortably accommodating a generous seating arrangement.

The top is built from carefully selected Claro walnut with exceptionally expressive figure, ranging from deep chocolate brown and near-black tones to warm amber, caramel, and reddish highlights. Natural voids, checks, and irregularities in the slabs have been preserved and filled with black epoxy, creating subtle contrast without overpowering the walnut itself. The result is a one-of-a-kind surface that feels organic and sculptural rather than overly polished or manufactured.

The perimeter has a softly rounded profile that emphasizes the substantial thickness of the solid wood top and makes the table comfortable from every seating position. It is currently paired with a geometric metal base in a warm brass/gold finish, which provides an understated contemporary contrast to the highly figured walnut.

The existing base is included, but the table could also be paired with a different wood or metal base if a buyer prefers another style. I’m happy to discuss alternate base options or modifications.

This is a singular piece—the exact grain, figure, void pattern, and coloration of this Claro walnut cannot be replicated. It would work especially well as a statement dining table, conference table, or centerpiece in a modern or contemporary interior.
