Four Inch Sweet Gum and Walnut Display Container

Immerse your living space in rustic elegance with this exquisite Hand-Turned Sweet Gum Container, complete with rich walnut accents.

Handcrafted from locally sourced sweet gum timber, this two-piece vessel highlights the species’ signature character—a swirling blend of soft cream sapwood and deep, smoky heartwood grains. Turned on the lathe with absolute precision, the container features a seamless, hand-fitted lid that closes with a satisfying, airtight glide.

The piece is anchored by a solid black walnut foot, elevating the vessel and creating a floating silhouette, while a matching turned walnut knob crowns the lid. The deep, chocolate tones of the walnut provide a striking contrast against the warm, wild grain of the sweet gum.

Key Highlights:

Artisanal Craftsmanship: Turned entirely by hand, ensuring smooth, balanced proportions and flawless wall thickness.

Striking Material Contrast: The subtle, luminous sweet gum body pairs beautifully with the bold, dark walnut accents for a timeless visual dynamic.

Versatile & Functional Art: Ideal for holding treasured keepsakes or jewelry on a dresser, coffee table, or mantelpiece.

Hand-Rubbed Satin Finish: Sealed with natural oils and microcrystalline wax to enhance the depth of the grain and protect the wood with a soft, tactile sheen.

This isn't merely a storage jar—it is a tactile sculpture that brings the rich warmth of the forest directly into your home.
