Crosshatch Woodworking is a one person shop in San Diego dedicated to using the natural colors and textures of wood to create beautiful designs. I got my start because I couldn't find outdoor furniture that worked for large outdoor dinner parties. From there I needed pizza peels for my wood fired oven, scrapers for the dough, and cutting and serving boards. Along the way I learned to love the natural colors and textures of wood and to let them tell their own story. My philosophy is that objects should be useful and that elegant design and honest materials create timeless beauty. Every piece is made by me either individually or in small batches.
